Bitdefender MDR Wins Tech Innovators Award

We are proud to announce that Bitdefender MDR won the 2020 CRN Tech Innovator Award in the Security – Managed Detection & Response category.

CRN evaluated Bitdefender against other MDR vendors for uniqueness, key capabilities, technological competency, addressing customer needs and other criteria.

Our MDR service was recognized as innovative for the following reasons:

  • First and only MDR solution to combine Human Risk Analytics
  • Event correlation from Endpoint, Network, Cloud and Bitdefender Global Threat Intelligence that correlates cyber-attack information from over 500 million sensors around the world
  • Over 70 years of combined threat hunting experience delivered by Bitdefender Security Analysts from National Intelligence Agencies.
  • Playbooks defined based on Active Defense strategies the Security Analysts have learned in defending against nation states.

Bitdefender Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service gives our customers 24x7x365 proactive cybersecurity operations. The service combines award-winning Bitdefender security technologies for endpoints, network and cloud workloads with threat-hunting expertise of skilled analysts from global Intelligence Agencies.

In addition to our world-class Security Operations Center, our security analysts can focus on the most critical security incidents by tapping tunable machine learning, which forms part of the multiple security layers of the Bitdefender Unified Risk and Analytics solution. Hyper Detect gives administrators the ability to configure supervised and unsupervised machine learning-based anomaly detection.

The machine learning-based detection module includes detection of suspicious files and suspicious command line execution (e.g. cmd, PowerShell, etc.). The configurations provide a list of five categories of attacks and the administrator can fine-tune the aggressiveness of the machine learning model based on the type of threat.
